What’s Cookin’? Sloppy Joe’s

In order for us to actually eat before bedtime, meals have got to be quick and easy.  This is an old-fall-back meal that I grew up eating.  It is actually the recipe that the grammar school used when my dad was a boy.  It is way better than anything you can find in a can, and it doesn’t have all those lovely added ingredients.  That is, as long as you read the labels of your staple pantry items.

Sloppy Joe’s

1 lb. Ground Beef
Salt & Pepper to taste
Onion, minced (I just add enough for flavor, so add to your liking)
1/2 c. Ketchup
2 T. Worcestershire Sauce
2 T. Sugar
1 T. Vinegar
1 T. Mustard

Brown beef with salt, pepper and onion.  Mix together all the other ingredients.  Add to cooked meat and mix well.  Serve with your favorite hamburger bun or tortilla chips.

It’s really that easy.  Enjoy!
