Since the holidays and my over indulgence of sweets and white flour, I am making an attempt to find healthier snacks. For awhile now I’ve wanted to find an alternative for the boys to much on rather than always turning toward pretzels, goldfish, etc. We eat quite a bit of fruit and vegetables at all of our meals so I wanted something with a little protein to help hold them off in between meals. My oldest has a peanut and egg allergy.
I recently came across a new-to-me blog — Sugar-Free Mom. I started poking around her blog and found some intriguing snack ideas. We made the Garlic Parmesan Roasted Chickpeas. They are quite tasty – 3 out of 4 people in our family enjoy them. I consider that a win! I think the next time I try this recipe I might switch up the flavor by dding some oregano.
